I attended my (Uncle Ted's parents) Nan and Grandad's golden wedding celebration with my parents (My dad is Uncle Ted's older brother). It was held in the garden at my Auntie Rose (Rose was Uncle Ted's older sister) and Uncle John's house. One of my cousins had kicked a football over into the neighbours back garden and so Unce Ted (still a serving police officer at the time) volunteered to go round the front to get the ball back. Uncle Ted was very hesitant at knocking on the door and couldn't bring himself to.do so, so his younger brother John, knocked and asked "Could we have our ball back please?"
